How To Shape Your Tree:

If you've assembled your tree and doesn’t look as full as the picture or the tree seen on display, you can increase the overall fullness of the tree by shaping each branch.

The branches have been condensed by being placed into the box. Branches can be easily reshaped to their original fullness by bending and separating each of the branches in a more realistic manner.

Check out this video of tips for shaping your tree.

Step-by-Step Directions to Shape Your Tree

(1) Start with the bottom row of tree branches. Gently adjust each large branch in the bottom row until they are resting in their designed position.

(2) Choose one of the large bottom branches. Attached to the large branch, find the short branches closest to the trunk of the tree. Fan the branches out angling them towards you, bending slightly so that they have a gentle curve in them.

Note: For areas where there are 3-4 branches in virtually the same space, position  2 of the branches out to the sides. Then, place the 1-2 remaining branches in a more vertical position angled towards the outside of the tree.

When you have 4 branches create a “V” with the top two branches.

(3) Continue Steps 1 and 2 around the bottom of the tree. Offset the middle and outer smaller branches from one row to the next to give the tree a more full and realistic appearance.

(4) Repeat Steps 1 through 3 moving up the tree. Shaping for the top of the tree will be different (see Step 5).

(5) To shape the top of the tree:

(i) Arrange the top branch to be pointed vertically up to the sky.

(ii) Fashion the next row of branches up around the top branch. Avoid removing the gentle curve of the branches.

(iii) Fashioning the second row of artificial Christmas tree branches upwards, gently by their tips and placing the artificial Christmas tree branches between the first top row of branches. Continue downward until you are finished, making the tree top look full with no holes or gaps.

(iv) Using these shaping techniques, blend the sections of the of the tree together making sure that the branches blend together naturally like the image of the tree you purchased or a similar live tree.
